Biometric Notice
Date of Last Revision: October 26, 2026
This Notice for the collection of Biometric Information ("Notice") describes how Pocket Conservatory Inc. ("Tonic," “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes biometric information in connection with our Tonic Notes applications and website at tonicnotes.com. Biometric information is a form of personal information related to your biometric characteristics. When we reference “Biometric Information” in this Notice, we are referring to personal information that constitutes Biometric Information under applicable law in your jurisdiction.
1. What Biometric Information Do We Collect?
We provide our Services through the collection and processing of your audio. We ask you to upload audio recordings, which we and our service providers process to provide Services to you. Some of our functionalities allow you to track audio performance progress across sessions. To do that, we may process certain information derived from the audio you upload, such as voice characteristics, acoustic patterns, voice match identifiers, and audio or voice embeddings, to help you organize and manage your sessions. We will only perform this processing on an opt-in basis. In some jurisdictions, this processing of your audio creates data that could be considered to be Biometric Information.
2. How Do We Use and Share Your Biometric Information?
We use and share your Biometric Information solely for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy and as described above. Additionally, we use your Biometric Information to identify you in audio recordings. Specifically, we may compare voices in a recording against the voiceprints of users in the same pod who have access to the lesson and have consented to our use of their Biometric Information. This allows us to associate a voice with the same opted-in user account across different recordings. We do not sell your Biometric Information. We may disclose or transfer your Biometric Information to third parties as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Can I refuse to provide my Biometric Information?
Yes. Only some features of our Services require deriving Biometric Information from your audio data. If you choose not to opt-in, you can still use the Services, but certain features that rely on this processing, such as features that track audio performance progress across sessions, may not be available to you.
4. How Long Does Tonic Retain My Biometric Information?
Subject to your deletion requests and our own legal compliance retention obligations, we will retain Biometric Information only until the occurrence of the first of the following: (a) the initial purpose for collecting or obtaining such Biometric Information has been satisfied or (b) three (3) years following your last interaction with us.
5. Can I Request that Tonic Delete My Biometric Information?
Yes. You may delete your voiceprint at any time by disabling the voice profile feature in the settings of the Tonic Notes application, or by deleting your account through the application. You may also direct us to delete your Biometric Information by contacting us at privacy@tonicnotes.com. After successfully verifying your identity, you may request that we delete your Biometric Information. Please note that deletion of your Biometric Information may degrade our ability to provide the Services to you.
